Installation and configuration

Before installation 

1.     Log in to the master host as the cluster administrator and stop the following services:

egosh service stop ascd WEBGUI

2.     Log in to each management host as the cluster administrator and create a backup directory:

mkdir /tmp/springjarbackup

3.     Move the old jars from the ascd lib directory to the backup directory:

·       mv $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/spring-aop-3.2.8.RELEASE.jar /tmp/springjarbackup/

·       mv $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/spring-beans-3.2.8.RELEASE.jar /tmp/springjarbackup/

·       mv $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/spring-context-3.2.8.RELEASE.jar /tmp/springjarbackup/

·       mv $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/spring-core-3.2.8.RELEASE.jar /tmp/springjarbackup/

·       mv $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/spring-expression-3.2.8.RELEASE.jar /tmp/springjarbackup/

Installation 

1.     Copy the updated jars from the existing gui lib directory to the ascd lib directory:

·       cp $EGO_TOP/gui/3.6/lib/spring-aop-3.2.18.RELEASE.jar $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/

·       cp $EGO_TOP/gui/3.6/lib/spring-beans-3.2.18.RELEASE.jar $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/

·       cp $EGO_TOP/gui/3.6/lib/spring-context-3.2.18.RELEASE.jar $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/

·       cp $EGO_TOP/gui/3.6/lib/spring-core-3.2.18.RELEASE.jar $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/

·       cp $EGO_TOP/gui/3.6/lib/spring-expression-3.2.18.RELEASE.jar $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/

 

2.     Delete all subdirectories and files in the workarea directory:

·       rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/workarea/*

·       rm -rf $EGO_TOP/ascd/workarea/*

 

NOTE: If you changed the default configuration for the WLP_OUTPUT_DIR environment variable and APPEND_HOSTNAME_TO_WLP_OUTPUT_DIR is set to true in the $EGO_CONFDIR/wlp.conf file, you must clean up the $WLP_OUTPUT_DIR/ascd_hostname/ascd/workarea/ directory.

 

After Installation 

1.     Log in to the master host as the cluster administrator and stop the following services:

egosh service start ascd WEBGUI

Uninstallation (if required)

1.     Log in to the master host as the cluster administrator and stop the following services:

egosh service stop ascd WEBGUI

2.     Log in to each management host and move the old jars from the ascd lib directory to the backup directory:

·       cp /tmp/springjarbackup/spring-aop-3.2.8.RELEASE.jar $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/

·       cp /tmp/springjarbackup/spring-beans-3.2.8.RELEASE.jar $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/

·       cp /tmp/springjarbackup/spring-context-3.2.8.RELEASE.jar $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/

·       cp /tmp/springjarbackup/spring-core-3.2.8.RELEASE.jar $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/

·       cp /tmp/springjarbackup/spring-expression-3.2.8.RELEASE.jar $EGO_TOP/ascd/2.2.1/lib/

 

3.     Delete all subdirectories and files in the workarea directory:

·       rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/workarea/*

·       rm -rf $EGO_TOP/ascd/workarea/*

 

NOTE: If you changed the default configuration for the WLP_OUTPUT_DIR environment variable and APPEND_HOSTNAME_TO_WLP_OUTPUT_DIR is set to true in the  $EGO_CONFDIR/wlp.conf file, you must clean up the $WLP_OUTPUT_DIR/ascd_hostname/ascd/workarea/ directory.

 

4.     Log in to the master host as the cluster administrator and stop the following services:

egosh service start ascd WEBGUI
