When many hosts are added at a time to the
cluster, SYN flooding impacts LIM performance in Platform Symphony 6.1.1. This
interim fix provides a resolution for this issue by increasing the SYN backlog
value.

and install this interim fix in your cluster.

Installation
1. Log
on to the master host as the cluster administrator and shut down the cluster:
> soamcontrol
app disable all
> egosh service stop all
> egosh ego shutdown all
2.
Log on to each management host in the cluster and
back up the following file, which will be replaced by this fix:
$EGO_TOP/1.2.8/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/lim
3.
On each management
host, download and decompress the sym6.1.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build495035.tar.gz package to the $EGO_TOP directory:
> tar zxfo
sym6.1.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build495035.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP
After
installation
1. Run the lim -V command to verify the installation. For example:
> lim -V

Uninstallation
If
required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix
in your cluster.
1. Log
on to the master host as the cluster administrator and shut down the cluster:
> soamcontrol app disable all
> egosh service stop all
> egosh ego shutdown all
2. Log on to each management host in the cluster and restore your backup for the following binary:
$EGO_TOP/1.2.8/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/lim
3. Log
on to the master host as the cluster administrator and start the cluster:
> egosh ego start all
> soamcontrol app enable <appName>
