Readme File for IBM® Platform Symphony 7.1 Interim Fix 482568

Readme File for: IBM Platform Symphony

Product Release: 7.1 Fix Pack 1

Update Name: Interim Fix 482568

Fix ID: sym-7.1-build482568-jpmc

Publication Date: February 15, 2018

When processes in IBM Platform Symphony do not have read-and-write permission of a directory and want to create its sub-directory, the processes try to change the directory’s permissions by using the “chmod” command. This operation impacts file system performance, and permissions cannot be changed without write permission. This interim fix provides a resolution for this issue, the “chmod” command will only be used on the sub-directory that just created.
