System requirements

Linux x86_64

Prerequisite

Platform Symphony 7.1.1 must be installed on Linux hosts in your cluster.

Installation

a.      Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator, disable your applications, and shut down the cluster:

> soamcontrol app disable all

b.     Log on to each management host in the cluster and back up the following file, which will be replaced by this fix:

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1.1/linux-x86_64/etc/ssm

c.      On each management host, decompress the tar.gz file to your Platform Symphony installation directory:

> tar zxfo pssasetup2015_linux-x86_64_build478100.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

d.      Verify the installation:

> ssm -V

e.      Enable your applications:

> soamcontrol app enable AppName

5.     Uninstallation

If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix in your cluster.

a.      Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and disable your applications:

> soamcontrol app disable all

b.      Log on to each management host and restore the following file from your backup:

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1.1/linux-x86_64/etc/ssm

c.      Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and start the cluster:

> soamcontrol app enable AppName
