Before proceeding with the installation process, view the online version of the readme file to verify that information has not changed since the readme file was downloaded.
Find further online installation instructions within the technote, entitled "Ordering maintenance for IBM CICS Explorer and CICS Explorer plug-ins".
Prior to installation

It is recommended that you take a backup of the CICS Explorer workspace before upgrading.

To find your workspace folder select "File -> Switch Workspace -> Other...". The pop up window will show you the location of the currently used workspace folder, for example "C:\Users\Admin\.cicsexplorer".

To backup the CICS Explorer Workspace, including the connection definitions, copy the workspace folder to another folder or compress it into an archive folder.
