PowerHA 7.2.0 Service Pack 4 is now available for download as of November, 2017.

NOTE: PowerHA SystemMirror 7.2.0 SP 4 testing has been done on the following AIX levels and are recommended:

The Service Pack contains all the known fixes since SP3. See the complete list of APARs included in the later section.

The previous service pack, SP3, contained additional filesets that enable PowerHA SystemMirror Graphical Health Dashboard (GUI) Client support for PowerHA SystemMirror 7.2 Clusters. With these filesets, an administrator can deploy a PowerHA SystemMirror 7.2.1 based health dashboard server and use it to monitor and manage PowerHA SystemMirror 7.2 clusters in the environment.

Health Dashboard Client images are shipped as part of the SP3 updates. This includes a communication agent that interacts with the GUI Server. The agent will not be active after the installation completes. The agent will remain dormant until the 7.2 cluster is registered by the administrator with a 7.2.1 GUI server.

Note: To take advantage of the health dashboard client support for 7.2 clusters, administrator should deploy PowerHA SystemMirror 7.2.1 GUI server. For more details, refer to the article at PowerHA Health Dashboard. Note: To be able to successfully register 7.2 clusters with 721 GUI server, you would need to update the 721 GUI server with some patches, as well. These updates are available at:

Installing GUI Client support on PowerHA SystemMirror 7.2

To install the GUI enablement, you can either use the standard, new fileset installer (it can also install updates; for example, "smitty install"), or do a two-step installation via an update, then install (for example, "smitty update all", then "smitty install"). The first method is simpler, installing the updates and new fileset in a single operation, so it is recommended.

A fix needs to be installed on 7.2.1 GUI server for it to work with 7.2.0 clusters. Please visit the IFix Bundle webpage for downloading GUI Fixes for 7.2.1.

This page lists critical Fix bundles (collection of epkgs for AIX and PowerHA) that may be applicable for various AIX and PowerHA levels. APARs included in the Fix bundle are listed in the description file that is part of the Fix bundle tar file epkgs. You can view it without opening the ipkg by running "emgr -d -v3 -e <epkg name>".
