In
the IBM Spectrum Symphony application profile editor page, if you include an
environment variable with a comma, the characters after the comma will be
truncated so that it is not fully visible. This interim fix resolves this issue
so that the characters can be displayed completely.

Installation
a. Stop the
WEBGUI service:
> egosh service stop WEBGUI
b. Log on to
each management host in the cluster, copy the sym-7.2.0.0-soammgmt-7.2.0.0_build462616.msp package,
and complete one of the following steps:
o To perform
an interactive installation, double-click the .msp
package.
o To perform
a silent installation from the IBM Spectrum Symphony command line, enter the
following command:
C:\> msiexec /update
C:\sym-7.2.0.0-soammgmt-7.2.0.0_build462616.msp /l*v updateSym.log /norestart /quiet REINSTALLMODE=omus
The command syntax is as
follows:
C:\>msiexec /update <sym_package_name_path> /l*v
<sym_install_log>
/norestart /quiet REINSTALLMODE=omus
where:
o <sym_package_name_path> is the fully qualified path to the
.msp package.
o <sym_install_log> is the log file for the upgrade.
c. Delete
all subdirectories and files in the following GUI work directories:
%SOAM_HOME%\..\gui\work\*
%SOAM_HOME%\..\gui\workarea\*
Note:
If you configured the WLP_OUTPUT_DIR parameter and APPEND_HOSTNAME_TO_WLP_OUTPUT_DIR is set to true in the %SOAM_HOME%\..\kernel\conf\wlp.conf file, you must clean up the %WLP_OUTPUT_DIR%\webgui_hostname\gui\workarea\ directory.
d. Launch a
web browser and clear the browser cache.
e. Start the WEBGUI service:
>
egosh service start WEBGUI
Uninstallation
a. Stop the
WEBGUI service:
> egosh service stop WEBGUI
b. Roll back to the
previous version of IBM Spectrum Symphony either from Windows Control Panel or
from the IBM Spectrum Symphony command line:
o To roll back from Windows Control Panel, go to Control
Panel > Programs and Features > View installed updates, click Update for Symphony 7.2.0
(build"462616") and click Uninstall.
o To roll back from the IBM Spectrum Symphony
command line, enter the following command:
C:\msiexec /uninstall
{949406C4-8386-4124-8261-0CB0AEE8263B} /package
{403A5A97-7878-40D1-8C25-873F0F6BA8A5} /norestart
/quiet /l*v sym_rollback.log
The
command syntax is as follows:
C:\>msiexec /uninstall <interim_fix_code>
/package <product_code>
/norestart /quiet /l*v <rollback_log>
where:
o <interim_fix_code> is
the identifier of the .msp package for the
interim fix; in this case, {949406C4-8386-4124-8261-0CB0AEE8263B}.
o <product_code> is
the identifier of the .msi file in the
product installation package; in this case, {403A5A97-7878-40D1-8C25-873F0F6BA8A5}.
o <rollback_log> is
the name of the log file to capture details of the interim fix rollback; in
this case, sym_rollback.log.
c. Delete all
subdirectories and files in the following GUI work directories:
%SOAM_HOME%\..\gui\work\*
%SOAM_HOME%\..\gui\workarea\*
Note:
If you configured the WLP_OUTPUT_DIR parameter and APPEND_HOSTNAME_TO_WLP_OUTPUT_DIR is set to true in the %SOAM_HOME%\..\kernel\conf\wlp.conf file, you must clean up the %WLP_OUTPUT_DIR%\webgui_hostname\gui\workarea\ directory.
