Reporting data in Platform Symphony 6.1.1 sometimes takes an extended period of time to load to the database. This issue typically occurs during the loader controller (plc) recovery phase, with the plc inserting only one record at a time, instead of inserting all records to the database. This interim fix provides a resolution for this issue.

Linux x86_64

Installation

a.      Log on to master host as cluster administrator, stop the plc service:

> egosh service stop plc

b.      Log on to each management host in the cluster as cluster administrator and back up following file, which will be replaced by this interim fix:

$EGO_TOP/perf/1.2.8/lib/perf_dataloader.jar

NOTE: Do not back up the perf_dataloader.jar file in the $EGO_TOP/perf/1.2.8/lib/ folder.

c.      Log on to each management host as cluster administrator, copy the sym6.1.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build459300.tar.gz package and decompress the file:

> tar zxfo sym6.1.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build459300.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

d.      Start the plc service:

> egosh service start plc

Uninstallation

a.      Log on to master host as cluster administrator, stop the plc service:

> egosh service stop plc

b.      Log on to each management host in the cluster as cluster administrator and restore the following file from your backup:

$EGO_TOP/perf/1.2.8/lib/perf_dataloader.jar

c.      Start the plc service:

> egosh service start plc
