System requirements

Linux x86_64

Before installation

a.      Log on to master host in the cluster as cluster administrator and disable your applications:

> soamcontrol app disable all

b.      Log on to each management host in the cluster and back up following file, which will be replaced by this interim fix:

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1.2/linux-x86_64/etc/ssm

Installation

Log on to each management host in the cluster and install this interim fix:

      > tar zxfo sym-7.1.2.0_x86_64_build458728.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

After installation

a.      Verify the installation by running the ssm -V command. For example:

> ssm -V

IBM Spectrum Symphony 7.1.2 build 458728, Jun 26 2017

b.      Log on to master host in the cluster as cluster administrator and enable your applications:

> soamcontrol app enable <appName>

Uninstallation

a.      Log on to master host in the cluster as cluster administrator and disable your applications:

> soamcontrol app disable all

b.      Log on to each management host in the cluster and restore the following file from your backup:

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1.2/linux-x86_64/etc/ssm

c.      Log on to master host in the cluster as cluster administrator and enable your applications:

> soamcontrol app enable <appName>
