Attention: The code and information provided in an Interim Fix does not receive the same level of testing as a fix pack. IBM does not recommend an Interim Fix for production use due to a higher risk of unexpected outages that could cause loss of function or data. If you need to use this Interim Fix on a production system, you must test it to your own satisfaction and accept the risk for its usage. This Interim Fix is supported for a period of not more than 60 days beyond the general availability of the Fix Pack release that contains the formal APAR fix.

Known problems, restrictions, and solutions

Known problems, restrictions, and solutions that affect administration and usage of interim fixes are documented as techdocs in the product support knowledge base.

To review all known problems, restrictions, and solutions that affect Version 3.0.0.0 interim fixes, use the following link to query the product support knowledge base: http://www.ibm.com/support/search.wss?tc=SSEUEX&atrn1=SWVersion&atrv=2.0.3&rankprofile=8dc=DB520+DB560+D600+DA400+DA420&;dtm.

In addition, the interim fix includes the following known problems:
Java and Google Chrome
Some features of IBM Content Navigator use Java applets. If you access IBM Content Navigator from Google Chrome, Version 42 or later, Chrome displays a message that the plug-in is blocked if you use an applet-based feature.
Starting with Google Chrome, Version 42, the Netscape Plugin Application Programming Interface (NPAPI) is disabled by default. Web applications that use Java applets do not function properly unless NPAPI is re-enabled. For more information on configuring NPAPI-based Java plug-ins under Google Chrome, Version 42, see:
Oracle Java Runtime Environment security warnings

You might see security warnings and update requests when using certain versions of Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE).

For information about issues with Oracle JRE, see http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21640073

The IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool is not completely translated in some languages
If you use the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool in the following locales, you might see a mix of English and non-English strings:
  • Arabic
  • Greek
  • Hebrew
  • Kazakh
  • Vietnamese
Additional Known problems and restrictions are contained in the 3.0.0.0 readme at http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEUEX_3.0.0/com.ibm.eucrelnotes.doc/eucrm003.htm
