IBM Platform LSF 9.1.3 Fix 451492 Readme File

Abstract

P102216. Fix to allow tssub and tspeek commands to connect to server hosts when the float client and server host are in different domains.

Description

Readme documentation for IBM Platform LSF 9.1.3 Fix 451492 including installation-related instructions, prerequisites and co-requisites, and list of fixes.

This fix addresses the following issue:

If the LSF_STRIP_DOMAIN parameter is defined in the lsf.conf file and the DNS can only resolve the long host name on a float client host, the tssub and tspeek commands fail to connect to server hosts to get the remote terminal if the float client and servers are in different domains.

This fix introduces a new parameter LSB_TSJOBS_SERVER_DOMAIN in the lsf.conf file to allow you to specify the server's domain for the tssub and tspeek commands.

Name: LSB_TSJOBS_SERVER_DOMAIN

Default: Not defined

Location: Configure in lsf.conf

Description: Specify the domain name starting with a period (".").  You also can set the environment variable LSB_TSJOBS_SERVER_DOMAIN, which overwrites the setting in the lsf.conf file. When this parameter or environment variable is specified, the tssub and tspeek commands append the value of this parameter or environment variable to the host name if the host name is short.
