Data loss occurs in the cluster when the session history loader fails to read the <appname>_session.soamdb.<timestamp> file in the $SOAM_HOME/work/history/ directory for several hours. The session history loader log shows many errors relating to unique constraint violations. This interim fix provides a resolution for this issue.

Before installation

1.      Stop the loader controller service (PLC):

> egosh service stop plc

2.      Log on to each management host in the cluster and back up the following file, which will be replaced by this interim fix:

> mv $EGO_TOP/perf/soam/7.1.2/lib/perf_soam_loader.jar $EGO_TOP/perf/soam/7.1.2/

Installation

On each management host in the cluster, install this interim fix:

> tar zxfo sym-7.1.2.0_x86_64_build446802.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

After installation

Start the PLC service:

> egosh service start plc

Uninstallation

1.      Stop the PLC service:

> egosh service stop plc

2.      Log on to each management host in the cluster and restore the following file from your backup:

> mv $EGO_TOP/perf/soam/7.1.2/perf_soam_loader.jar $EGO_TOP/perf/soam/7.1.2/lib/

3.      Start the PLC service:

> egosh service start plc
