Unresponsive menu in cluster management console

 

This interim fix resolves unresponsive menu issues when using the cluster management console in IBM Spectrum Conductor with Spark V2.2.0.

System requirements

Linux x86_64

Before installation

1.     Stop the WEBGUI service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin
> egosh service stop WEBGUI

2.     For recovery purposes, log on to each management host in the cluster and back up the following file (which will be replaced by this interim fix) to another directory:

$EGO_TOP/wlp/usr/servers/gui/apps/3.5/common_ui/js/common.js

Installation

1.     Log on to each management host in your cluster and decompress the cws2.2_x86_64_build441087.tgz to the directory where you installed IBM Spectrum Conductor with Spark:

> tar xvf cws2.2_x86_64_build441087.tgz -C $EGO_TOP

2.     Clean up the gui/work directories. Delete all subdirectories and files in the following directories:

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

> rm ¨Crf $EGO_TOP/gui/workarea/*

NOTE: If you configured the WLP_OUTPUT_DIR parameter and APPEND_HOSTNAME_TO_WLP_OUTPUT_DIR is set to true in the $EGO_CONFDIR/wlp.conf file, you must clean up the $WLP_OUTPUT_DIR/webgui_hostname/gui/workarea/ directory.

3.     Clear your browser cache. For details, refer to your browser documentation.

NOTE: All users who connect to the cluster management console must clear their browser cache before accessing the console. As a cluster administrator, ensure that you notify all your users about this requirement.

4.     Start the WEBGUI service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service start WEBGUI

Uninstallation

1.     Stop the WEBGUI service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop WEBGUI

2.     Log on to each management host in the cluster and restore the backup for the following file:

$EGO_TOP/wlp/usr/servers/gui/apps/3.5/common_ui/js/common.js

3.     Clean up the gui/work directories and clear the browser cache. Delete all subdirectories and files in the following directories:

NOTE: If you configured the WLP_OUTPUT_DIR parameter in the $EGO_CONFDIR/wlp.conf file, you must clean up the $WLP_OUTPUT_DIR/webgui_hostname/gui/workarea/ directory.

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

> rm ¨Crf $EGO_TOP/gui/workarea/*

4.     Start the WEBGUI service:

> egosh service start WEBGUI
