Readme for IBM Platform Symphony 7.1.1 Interim Fix 438937

Abstract
Under race conditions, the cluster management console is unable to load cluster health data.

Description
When race conditions exist in a cluster, the Cluster Health panel on the management console shows the following error:
A problem occurred while loading cluster health data: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsExceptions. This interim fix for Linux 64-bit hosts provides a solution for this issue, so that cluster health data is shown correctly.

Linux 64-bit hosts

Before installation 

1.      Stop the WEBGUI service:
> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin
> egosh service stop WEBGUI  

2.      Back up the following files:

$EGO_TOP/wlp/usr/servers/gui/apps/soam/7.1.1/symgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/gui/sym/dashboard/service/impl/real/ClusterHealthServiceImpl.class

$EGO_TOP/wlp/usr/servers/gui/apps/soam/7.1.1/symgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/gui/sym/dashboard/service/impl/real/ClusterHealthServiceImpl$1.class

$EGO_TOP/wlp/usr/servers/gui/apps/soam/7.1.1/symgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/gui/sym/dashboard/service/impl/real/ClusterHealthServiceImpl$2.class

Installation 

Log on to every management host in the cluster and decompress the tar.gz file to your Platform Symphony installation directory:
      > tar zxfo pssasetup2015_linux-x86_64_build438937.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

After installation 

1.      Clean up the gui/work directories and clear the browser cache. Delete all subdirectories and files in the following directories:

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

> rm –rf $EGO_TOP/gui/workarea/*

2.      Start the WEBGUI service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service start WEBGUI

Uninstallation 

1.      Stop the WEBGUI service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop WEBGUI

2.      Restore the following files on all management hosts with the backup files:

$EGO_TOP/wlp/usr/servers/gui/apps/soam/7.1.1/symgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/gui/sym/dashboard/service/impl/real/ClusterHealthServiceImpl.class

$EGO_TOP/wlp/usr/servers/gui/apps/soam/7.1.1/symgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/gui/sym/dashboard/service/impl/real/ClusterHealthServiceImpl$1.class

$EGO_TOP/wlp/usr/servers/gui/apps/soam/7.1.1/symgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/gui/sym/dashboard/service/impl/real/ClusterHealthServiceImpl$2.class

3.      Clean up the gui/work directories and clear the browser cache. Delete all subdirectories and files in the following directories:

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

> rm –rf $EGO_TOP/gui/workarea/*

4.      Start the WEBGUI service:

> egosh service start WEBGUI
