Support for ¡°+¡± and ¡°/¡± characters for the task tag
character set.
The character set range for task
tags currently supports lowercase letters (a-z), uppercase letters (A-Z),
digits (0-9), and special characters ¡°¨C¡° and ¡°_¡±. This interim fix adds two
more special characters ¡°+¡± and ¡°/¡± to the supported character set, as
summarized in the following table:

The task tag
attribute does not support characters outside the specified range. If you use a
character that is not supported, the system reports an error.

Installation and
configuration
Prerequisites
IBM Platform Symphony 7.1 Fix Pack 1 must be
installed.
Before installation
On each Linux client host in your cluster, back up
the following file:
$SOAM_HOME/lib64/libsoambase.so
Installation and verification
1. Log on to each Linux client host in your cluster and
decompress the symclnt7.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build438294.tar.gz file:
$tar -zxvf
symclnt7.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build438294.tar.gz ¨CC $SOAM_HOME
2. Verify
the installation:
a. On each client host, run the
following command:
symping -k
+test
b. On management or compute
host, run the following command:
soamview
task symping7.1:SessionID:TaskID ¨Cl
The
command should display task tag attribute +test.
Uninstallation
To uninstall this fix, log on to Linux client host
in the cluster and restore the backup file.
