and configuration
5.1 Before
installation
1. Disable all
applications and stop SD service.
Log on to the master host
as the cluster administrator and run:
> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin
> soamcontrol
app disable all
> egosh
service stop SD
2. Back up the
affected directory.
Log on to every
management host, and back up the following directory that will be replaced by
this fix:
$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/sd

Installation steps
Log on to every
management host, and decompress the sym7.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build433166.tar.gz
package:
tar zxfo
sym7.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build433166.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP
5.3 After
installation
1. Verify the installation.
Run:
> sd
¨CV

output shows a successful installation:

2. Start SD
service and enable the application.
Log on to the master
host as the cluster administrator and run:
> egosh user logon -u
Admin -x Admin
> egosh ego start SD
> soamcontrol
app enable appname
5.4 Uninstallation
1. Disable all applications and
stop SD service.
Log on to the master
host as the cluster administrator and run:
> egosh user logon -u Admin
-x Admin
> soamcontrol
app disable all
> egosh service stop SD
2. Restore the backup
file.
Log on to every
management host and restore the backed up file from the following directory:
$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/sd
3. Start SD service and
enable the application.
Log on to the master
host as the cluster administrator and run:
> egosh user logon -u
Admin -x Admin
> egosh ego start SD
> soamcontrol
app enable appname
