This is the IBM Platform Analytics Node.

5. Installation and Configuration

In this document, ANALYTICS_TOP describes the top-level IBM Platform Analytics Node installation directory.
For example, this directory may refer to the following:
 
* Linux /opt/IBM/PlatformAnalytics

Note: Please following the below steps to modify the max heap size of IBM Platform Analytics Node JVM for each node.
1. Log into the IBM Platform Analytics Node host with the same account used to install the patch.
2. Update the ANALYTICS_TOP/conf/wsm/wsm_plc.conf as follows:
  original:
  ...
  JAVA_OPTS=-Xms64m -Xmx1600m -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote=true
  ...
    
  update:
  ...
  JAVA_OPTS=-Xms64m -Xmx16384m -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote=true
  ...
   
5.0 Download patch from Fix Central.
   * For IBM Platform Analytics Node: build431464_node_linux-x86_64.zip

5.1 Installation steps  
   5.1.1 Apply the patch for IBM Platform Analytics Node for each node.
          
     1. Log into the IBM Platform Analytics Node host with the same account used to install the patch.

     2. Extract the package build431464_node_linux-x86_64.zip.  
              
     3. Apply the IBM Platform Analytics Node patch with the patch installer for each node.
        a. Source the environment for Analytics:
         * For csh or tcsh:
          source ANALYTICS_TOP/conf/cshrc.perf

          * For sh, ksh, or bash:
          . ANALYTICS_TOP/conf/profile.perf

        b. Run the following command to stop the service:
            perfadmin stop plc

        c. Run the following command and follow the prompts to apply the patch:
          * Linux  ANALYTICS_TOP/patch_tools/pinstall.sh

5.2 After installation
     None
         
5.3 Uninstall steps  
  5.3.1 Uninstall patch for IBM Platform Analytics Node using patch_tools for each node.
       
     1. Log into the IBM Platform Analytics Node host with the same account used to uninstall the patch.
       
      2. Source the environment for Analytics:
       * For csh or tcsh:
        source ANALYTICS_TOP/conf/cshrc.perf   

       * For sh, ksh, or bash:
        . ANALYTICS_TOP/conf/profile.perf

      3. Run the following command to stop the service:
          perfadmin stop plc
                        
      4.Run the following command and follow the prompts to uninstall the patch:
        * Linux  ANALYTICS_TOP/patch_tools/puninst.sh
