IBM Platform Symphony 7.1.1 Fix #425078 Readme File
Abstract
You submit workload to
the symping7.1.1 application, with the SSM log set to log messages in DEBUG
mode. However, when a session is created and logged, the State and Service Name values
within the log contain incorrect information.
Description
The
following log message is an example:

with session tag <> is created: ConsumerID
<Symping711>, Application <symping7.1.1>, Session Name <symping>, Priority <1>, Owner <owner_name>, State <Opensymping711krb1_service>,
Service Name <>.
This fix applies only to Linux 64-bit hosts.

4. Installation and configuration
4.1 Before installation
1. Disable all applications.
> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin
> soamcontrol app disable all
2. Back up files.
Log on to all management hosts in the cluster and back up the following file that will be replaced by this fix:
> $SOAM_SERVERDIR/ssm
4.2 Installation steps
Log on to all management hosts in the cluster
and copy the ssm file to $SOAM_SERVERDIR:
> cp
ssm $SOAM_SERVERDIR/
Also ensure that the execution bit is set.
4.3 After installation
1. Verify the installation.
The following is an example of verifying the installation by running ssm -V:
> ssm -V

2. Enable the application.
> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin
> soamcontrol app enable <appName>
4.4 Uninstallation
1. Disable all applications.
> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin
> soamcontrol app disable all
2. Uninstall.
Log on to all management hosts in cluster
and restore the backup file for the following binary:
> $SOAM_SERVERDIR/ssm
3. Enable the application:
> egosh user logon –u Admin –x Admin
> soamcontrol app enable <appName>
