IBM Platform Symphony 7.1 Interim Fix 423589 Readme File

Abstract

After exporting a standard or customize report in .csv format, you are unable to sort data by ascending or descending order using the TIME_STAMP column.

Description

Currently, from the management console, when you access Reports & Logs > Standard Reports or Custom Reports, choose one of the listed report, and click Produce Report, data shows in a table. When you click Export Report Data to load the data into a .csv file, and sort data by the TIME_STAMP column, sorting does not work.

After applying this fix, the TIME_STAMP column sorts correctly.

This fix applies only to the following platform:

linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64

4.1   Before installation 

1. Stop the WEBGUI service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop WEBGUI

2. Back up the following files:

$EGO_TOP/gui/perf/3.1/perfgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/perf/report/csv/GenerateCSV$RollupMethod.class

$EGO_TOP/gui/perf/3.1/perfgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/perf/report/csv/GenerateCSV$1.class

$EGO_TOP/gui/perf/3.1/perfgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/perf/report/csv/GenerateCustomCSV.class

$EGO_TOP/gui/perf/3.1/perfgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/perf/report/csv/GenerateCSV.class

4.2   Installation steps 

Log on to every management host in the cluster and decompress the tar.gz file to your Platform Symphony installation directory:

> tar zxfo sym7.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build423589.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

4.3   After installation 

1. Clean up the GUI work directories and the browser cache. Delete all subdirectories and files from this directory:

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

2. Start the WEBGUI service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service start WEBGUI

4.4   Uninstallation 

1. Stop the WEBGUI service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop WEBGUI

2. Restore the following files on all management hosts with the backed-up files:

$EGO_TOP/gui/perf/3.1/perfgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/perf/report/csv/GenerateCSV$RollupMethod.class

$EGO_TOP/gui/perf/3.1/perfgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/perf/report/csv/GenerateCSV$1.class

$EGO_TOP/gui/perf/3.1/perfgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/perf/report/csv/GenerateCustomCSV.class

$EGO_TOP/gui/perf/3.1/perfgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/perf/report/csv/GenerateCSV.class

4. Start the WEBGUI service:
