Abstract
This fix eliminates a session
director memory leak problem within the Platform Symphony 6.1.1 security fix
(SD).
Description
With the Platform Symphony 6.1.1 security fix
installed, the SD encounters a memory leakage after running for a long time.
This fix only applies to Platform
symphony 6.1.1 with the security fix applied.

5. Installation and configuration
5.1 Before installation
1. Shut down the cluster
Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:
> source $EGO_TOP/cshrc.platform
>
soamcontrol app disable all
>
egosh service stop all
> egosh ego shutdown all
2. Back up the following files on all management hosts
$EGO_TOP/soam/6.1.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/sd
$EGO_TOP/1.2.8/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib/libsec.so
5.2 Installation
steps
Log on to all management hosts
in the cluster and decompress the tar.gz file under the $EGO_TOP directory:
> tar zxfo sym6.1.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build422616.tar.gz -C
$EGO_TOP
5.3 After installation
1. Verify the
installation
The following is an example of verifying the installing by running sd -V:
> sd -V
IBM Platform Symphony 6.1.1.0 build 422616, Sep 13

2. Start the cluster
Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:
> source $EGO_TOP/cshrc.platform
> egosh ego start all
> soamcontrol app enable AppName
5.4 Uninstalling
1. Stop the cluster
Log on
to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:
> source
$EGO_TOP/cshrc.platform
> soamcontrol app
disable all
>
egosh service stop all
> egosh ego shutdown
all
2. Log on to all
management hosts in the cluster and restore the backup files for the following
binaries:
$EGO_TOP/soam/6.1.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/sd
$EGO_TOP/1.2.8/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib/libsec.so
3. Start the cluster
Log on
to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:
>
source $EGO_TOP/cshrc.platform
>
egosh ego start all
> soamcontrol app
enable AppName
