IBM Spectrum LSF 10.1 Fix 418959 Readme File

Abstract

P101871. This fix reduces LIM CPU consumption on Intel® Xeon Phi™ Processor.

Description

Readme documentation for IBM Spectrum LSF 10.1 Fix 418959, including installation-related instructions, prerequisites and co-requisites, and list of fixes.

This fix addresses the following issue:
LIM periodically reads CPU and NUMA information through the HWLOC APIs. Each call takes 1-2 seconds on Intel® Xeon Phi™ processors. The LIM CPU usage might impact the application benchmark performance.

To control LIM CPU consumption, the fix increases CPU and NUMA information update interval to 20 minutes. This fix also increases host load update interval to at least 15 seconds.
