5. Installation and configuration
5.1 Before installation
(LSF_TOP=Full path to the top-level installation directory of LSF.)
1) For LSF shared install: Log on to the LSF master host as root
For LSF non-shared install: Log on to the LSF master host and each slave host as root
2) Set your environment:
- For csh or tcsh: % source LSF_TOP/conf/cshrc.lsf
- For sh, ksh, or bash: $ . LSF_TOP/conf/profile.lsf
5.2 Installation steps
1) Go to the bin directory: cd $LSF_BINDIR/
2) Backup the original blusers binary file: mv blusers blusers.bak
3) Copy the new blusers binary file to the bin directory $LSF_BINDIR/
5.3 After installation
None
5.4 Uninstallation
To roll back:
1) Log on to the LSF master host as root
2) Go to the bin directory: cd $LSF_BINDIR/
3) Delete the new blusers binary file: rm -f blusers
4) Run mv blusers.bak blusers
