Abstract

The order clause in consumer resReq does not function.
 

Description

If you do not set the resourceGroupName in the application profile, then the order clause in consumer resReq does not have any effect.

 

This interim fix applies only to the following platform:

       Linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64

4.   Installation and configuration

4.1          Before installation

1.    Shut down the cluster.

Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> soamcontrol app disable all

> egosh service stop all

> egosh ego shutdown all

 

2.    Back up the affected files.

Log on to management hosts in the cluster, and back up the following file that will be replaced by this fix:

> $EGO_TOP/3.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/vemkd

 

4.2          Installation steps

1. Log on to management hosts in the cluster and replace the vemkd file in your Platform Symphony installation directory.

 

4.3          After installation

             1.    Verify the installation.

              Run vemkd -V to verify the installation.

              The following output shows a successful installation:

              > vemkd -V

                  Platform EGO 3.1.0.0 build 394277, Mar 14 2016

2.    Start the cluster.

Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> egosh ego start all

4.4          Uninstallation

1.    Shut down the cluster.

Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> soamcontrol app disable all

> egosh service stop all

> egosh ego shutdown all

2.     Restore the backup file.

Log on to management hosts and restore the backed up file:

> $EGO_TOP/3.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/vemkd

3.    Start the cluster.

Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> egosh ego start all

> soamcontrol app enable appname
