IBM Platform LSF 9.1.2 Fix 384789 Readme File

Abstract

P101546, P101562. Fix to resolve an issue with License Scheduler jobs not using available licenses when DYNAMIC is enabled.

Description

Readme documentation for IBM Platform LSF 9.1.2 Fix 384789 including installation-related instructions, prerequisites and co-requisites, and list of fixes.

This fix addresses the following issue:

If you enable the DYNAMIC parameter in lsf.licensescheduler, and there are License Scheduler jobs that were either submitted without a duration before DYNAMIC was enabled or that checked out licenses that are not specified in the rusage string, there will be a mismatch between License Scheduler and LSF, preventing the job from being dispatched even if there are free tokens.

Note:
This fix does not change the behavior of jobs with a specified duration for only part of the license resources.
When DYNAMIC is enabled, there are jobs that are submitted by the same user on a host that requests the same license resource and runs on the same execution host. This fix does not change the behavior of this type of job.
