Abstract
APAR# PI54531. This fix resolves the issue of duplicate emails that are sent when the email notification options are selected and if one of the email addresses contains a space.

Readme documentation for IBM Platform RTM 9.1.3 Fix 381266 including installation-related instructions, prerequisites and co-requisites, and list of fixes.

This fix addresses the following issue:

If the options "Notify Cluster Admin" and "Notify Job Users" are selected and if one of the email addresses contains a space, then when an alert is triggered two emails will be sent to the administrator. Apply this fix to avoid duplicate emails.

5.   Installation and configuration
5.1    Before installation
 
    1) Back up the following files in cacti_backupname.tar:

        # cd RTM_TOP
        # tar -cvf cacti_backupname.tar  cacti/plugins/gridalarms/lib/gridalarms_functions.php cacti/plugins/gridalarms/includes/settings.php

5.2    Installation steps
 
    1) Stop crond(cron) service

        # service crond(cron) stop

    2) Download and extract rtm9.1.3-build381266.tar.gz  to the RTM_TOP directory

        # cd RTM_TOP
        # tar -zxvf rtm9.1.3-build381266.tar.gz

    3) Start crond(cron) service

        # service crond(cron) start


5.3    After installation

None
 
5.4    Uninstallation

    1) Stop crond(cron) service

        # service crond(cron) stop

    2)  Roll back the fix by overwriting files with the files you backed up in cacti_backupname.tar

        # cd RTM_TOP
        # tar -xvf cacti_backupname.tar

    3) Start crond(cron) service

        # service crond(cron) start
