Abstract

When a user logs onto the PMC using the consumer user role, the blocked host information does not correctly display in the PMC.

Description

When a user logs onto the PMC using the consumer user role, the blocked host information (such as in a table column or on a tab), is not accurate and not useful to the consumer user.

After applying this fix, blocked host information will no longer display in the PMC for a consumer user.

This fix applies only to the following platform:

linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64

4.   Installation and configuration

4.1          Before installation 

1.     Stop the WEBGUI service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop WEBGUI

2.     Back up the following files:

>$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/6.1.1/symgui/sym/application/applicationProperties.jsp

>$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/6.1.1/symgui/sym/application/js/applicationProperties.js

>$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/6.1.1/symgui/sym/application/js/applicationList.js

>$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/6.1.1/symgui/pmr/applications/applicationsummary.jsp

>$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/6.1.1/symgui/pmr/applications/js/applicationsummary.js

>$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/6.1.1/symgui/pmr/applications/js/application.js

4.2          Installation steps 

Copy the sym6.1.1-build376837.tar.gz package to each management host and decompress the file:

>tar -xzvf sym6.1.1-build376837.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

4.3          After installation 

1. Clean up the GUI work directory and the browser cache. Delete all subdirectories and files in this directory:

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

2. Clean up the GUI persist files in this directory:

> rmrf $EGO_CONFDIR/../../gui/conf/persist/*

Note: If you have previously changed preference settings, the settings will be lost and reset to default values the next time you log on to the PMC.

3. Start the WEBGUI service:

  > egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service start WEBGUI

4.4          Uninstallation 

 1.   Stop the WEBGUI service:

>egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

>egosh service stop WEBGUI

2.    Restore the following files on all management hosts with the backed-up files:

>$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/6.1.1/symgui/sym/application/applicationProperties.jsp

>$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/6.1.1/symgui/sym/application/js/applicationProperties.js

>$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/6.1.1/symgui/sym/application/js/applicationList.js

>$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/6.1.1/symgui/pmr/applications/applicationsummary.jsp

>$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/6.1.1/symgui/pmr/applications/js/applicationsummary.js

>$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/6.1.1/symgui/pmr/applications/js/application.js

3.    Clean up the GUI work directory and the browser cache. Delete all subdirectories and files in this directory:

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

4.    Start the WEBGUI service.

>egosh service start WEBGUI
