Abstract
Misleading error message in
SIM logs about blocked hosts.
Description
The SIM logged an error to indicate
that the host is blocked due to terminating the SI before registering back to
the SIM. This is misleading because no hosts are actually blocked. After
applying this fix, no error messages will be logged for this scenario.
This interim fix applies
only to the following platform:
Linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64

5. Installation and configuration
5.1 Before installation
1. Stop the application.
Log on to the master host
as the cluster administrator and run:
> soamcontrol app
disable appname
> egosh service
stop all
> egosh ego
shutdown all
2. Back up the affected directory.
Log on to the compute
host, and back up the following directory that will be replaced by this fix:
$SOAM_SERVERDIR/sim

Installation steps
Log on to
the compute host, and replace the old file with the downloaded one in the
following directory:
$SOAM_SERVERDIR/sim
5.3 After installation
1. Verify the
installation.
Run:
>
sim –V
The
following sample output shows a successful installation:

2. Start the application.
Log on to the master
host as the cluster administrator and run:
> egosh ego start
all
> soamcontrol app
enable appname
5.4 Uninstallation
1. Stop
the application.
Log on to the master
host as the cluster administrator and run:
> soamcontrol app
disable appname
> egosh service
stop all
> egosh ego
shutdown all
2. Restore the backup
file.
Log on to the compute
host and restore the backed up file from the following directory:
>
$SOAM_SERVERDIR/sim
3. Start the application.
Log on to the master host
as the cluster administrator and run:
> egosh ego start
all
> soamcontrol app
enable appname
