IBM Platform LSF 9.1.3 Fix 364445 Readme File

Abstract

P101382. This fix uses single quotes to enclose the value of the LSB_SUB_PROJECT_NAME parameter in the $LSB_SUB_PARM_FILE file for esub to process.

Description

Readme documentation for IBM Platform LSF 9.1.3 Fix 364445 including installation-related instructions, prerequisites and co-requisites, and list of fixes.

This fix addresses the following issue:

By default, parameter values in the $LSB_SUB_PARM_FILE file for esub processes are double quoted, which causes problems when handling LSB_SUB_PROJECT_NAME parameter in user scripts.

This fix introduces a new parameter LSB_ESUB_SINGLE_QUOTE in lsf.conf.

Syntax

LSB_ESUB_SINGLE_QUOTE= Y|y|N|n

Description

If set to Y or y, the LSB_SUB_PROJECT_NAME values written to $LSB_SUB_PARM_FILE for esub processes are enclosed in single quotation marks ('). This prevents the shell from processing certain meta characters in parameter values such as $.

If set to N or n, the LSB_SUB_PROJECT_NAME values written to $LSB_SUB_PARM_FILE for esub processes are enclosed in double quotation marks (").

Default

N. The LSB_SUB_PROJECT_NAME values written to $LSB_SUB_PARM_FILE for esub processes are enclosed in double quotation marks (").
