IBM Platform Symphony 6.1.1 Interim Fix 362157 Readme File
Abstract
On
the PMC Dashboard branding area, the entitlement shows “IBM Platform Symphony
Express Edition” while it should be “IBM Platform Symphony Advanced Edition.
Description
When starting the
WEBGUI service process and LIM is down for a few seconds, after LIM recovers and
you log on to the PMC Dashboard, it shows “IBM Platform Symphony Express
Edition” in the branding area. However, the correct entitlement should be “IBM
Platform Symphony Advanced Edition”.
After applying this fix, the Dashboard
correctly shows “IBM Platform Symphony
Advanced Edition”.
This fix applies only to the following platform:
linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64

4.1
Before installation
1. Stop the
WEBGUI service:
>
egosh user logon -u Admin -x
Admin
>
egosh service stop WEBGUI
2. Back up the
following files:
>$EGO_TOP/gui/1.2.8/lib/commons-ego.jar
>$EGO_TOP/gui/1.2.8/lib/egogui.jar
4.2 Installation steps
1. Decompress the sym6.1.1-build362157.tar.gz package.
2. Copy the files
to the following directory on the management hosts:
> cp commons-ego.jar $EGO_TOP/gui/1.2.8/lib/
> cp egogui.jar $EGO_TOP/gui/1.2.8/lib/
4.3 After installation
1. Clean up the GUI work directory
and the browser cache by deleting all subdirectories and files in this
directory:
> rm -rf
$EGO_TOP/gui/work/*
2. Start the WEBGUI service.
> egosh user logon -u Admin
-x Admin
> egosh service start WEBGUI
4.4 Uninstallation
1. Stop
the WEBGUI service.
>egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin
>egosh service stop WEBGUI

Restore the following files on all management hosts with the backed-up files:
>$EGO_TOP/gui/1.2.8/lib/commons-ego.jar
>$EGO_TOP/gui/1.2.8/lib/egogui.jar
3.
Clean up the GUI work directory and the browser cache by deleting all subdirectories and files
in this directory:
> rm -rf
$EGO_TOP/gui/work/*
4.
Start the WEBGUI service.
>egosh service start WEBGUI
