IBM Platform Symphony 7.1 Interim Fix #340154 Readme File
Abstract
After you have enabled the EGO_ENABLE_RG_PREFERENCE=Y parameter in
the ego.conf file, you are unable to edit your
resource group preference from the Consumers properties page in PMC.
Description
Once EGO_ENABLE_RG_PREFERENCE=Y is set in the ego.conf file, you can no longer edit the resource group
preference from the Consumers properties page within PMC.
After applying this fix, you can
change the resource
group preference from the PMC.
This fix applies to all supported
platforms.

Before
installation
1. Stop the WEBGUI service.
> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin
> egosh service stop WEBGUI
2. Back up file the following
file:
>
$EGO_TOP/gui/ego/3.1/platform/consumerManage/consumerManage.jsp
4.2 Installation
steps
Copy the consumerManage.jsp file to the following directory on the
management hosts:
> cp consumerManage.jsp $EGO_TOP/gui/ego/3.1/platform/consumerManage/

After
installation
1. Clean up the GUI work directory and the browser cache by deleting
all subdirectories and files in this directory:
> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*
2. Start the WEBGUI service.
> egosh
user logon -u Admin -x Admin
> egosh service start WEBGUI

Uninstalling
1. Stop the WEBGUI
service.
>
egosh
user logon -u Admin -x Admin
>
egosh service stop WEBGUI
2. Restore the following
file on all management hosts with the backed-up file:
> $EGO_TOP/gui/ego/3.1/platform/consumerManage/consumerManage.jsp
3. Clean up the GUI work
directory and the browser cache by deleting all
subdirectories and files in this directory:
> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*
4. Start the WEBGUI
service.

egosh
service start WEBGUI
