IBM Platform LSF 9.1.3 Fix 337432 Readme File
Abstract
P101017. Fix to support the definition of LSF cluster name aliases, which allows License Scheduler to manage multiple clusters with the same cluster name.
Description
The new parameter LSF_LIC_SCHED_CLUSTER_ALIAS allows you to define an alias for a cluster name. This allows License Scheduler to manage multiple clusters which share a same cluster name.
Define the LSF_LIC_SCHED_CLUSTER_ALIAS parameter in the lsf.conf file as follows:
Syntax:
LSF_LIC_SCHED_CLUSTER_ALIAS=cluster_name_alias
The cluster_name_alias value is a string with characters that are either alphanumeric characters, underscores (_), or hyphens (-).
The length of this value cannot exceed 39 characters.
Description:
LSF uses the specified alias as the cluster name when communicating with License Scheduler. The License Scheduler configuration file (lsf.licensescheduler) and bl* commands (such as blstat and blinfo) refers to the cluster by its alias.
Run badmin mbdrestart for your changes to this parameter to take effect.
Note: This parameter is not supported in clusters with the LSF/XL feature enabled.
