This APAR provides a fix for the failure to create an event from the map viewer in Intelligent Transportation.

The following reported defects are fixed in this update:

PMR77472,025,724 - Create IOT Events don't work when portal language is set to German.
Fix: This APAR addresses the issue by removing certain data base constraints on the tables that retain event data.
Contents: This APAR includes the following files:
- PO04788/topology/tih_std/DB/install_90717.sh The shell script invokes the DB2 interpreter to execute the SQL statements to remove the constraints.
- PO04788/topology/tih_std/DB/install_90717.sql This file contains the SQL statements to remove the constraints.

You are strongly recommended to review the following steps and familiarise yourself with the files in question.

IBM Intelligent Operations for Transportation 1.6.0.0 should be installed, with all the services running.

Installation of this APAR is performed in the data base server in the IOT environment. You should copy this zip file to the '/tmp' directories on the data base and analytics servers.
Installation proceeds by removing the existing data base constraints on the SITUATIONRECORD table in the DATEX_II schema. To do this, you should:
1. Login into the data base server as root.
2. Change to the user 'db2inst2'.
  - su - db2inst2
3. Unzip the APAR file:
  - cd /tmp
  - unzip IBMIT-IOT-1.6.0.0-IFPO04788.zip
  - cd PO04788/topology/tih_std/DB/
4. Run dos2unix for _90717.sh file:
  - dos2unix install_90717.sh
5. Apply the patch:
  - sh install_90717.sh
Once the installation of the APAR has completed, you should copy the APAR fix tag to the relevant directory in the applications server. To do this you should:
1. Login into the applications server as root.
2. Unzip the APAR file:
  - cd /tmp
  - unzip IBMIT-IOT-1.6.0.0-IFPO04788.zip
  - cd PO04788/
3. Copy the fix tag into the IOT fix tag directory:
  - cp IBMIT-IOT-1.6.0.0-IFPO04788.fxtag /opt/IBM/intelligentTransportation/intelligentOperationsTransportation/properties/version/
