5.   Installation and configuration

5.2          Before installation 

1.    Disable app.

Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> soamcontrol app disable all

 

2.    Back up the file.

Log on to each host, and back up the following file that will be replaced by this fix:

> $SOAM_HOME/5.2/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib64/libsoambase.so

> $SOAM_HOME/5.2/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib/libsoambase.so

 

For Symphony Client release:

> $SOAM_HOME/lib64/libsoambase.so

> $SOAM_HOME/lib/libsoambase.so

 

5.2          Installation steps 

1.      Apply the fix.

Log on to each host, and replace old files with the downloaded one in the following directory:

Copy 64-bit libsoambase.so to $SOAM_HOME/5.2/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib64 directory

Copy 32-bit libsoambase.so to $SOAM_HOME/5.2/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib directory

 

For Symphony Client release:

Copy 64-bit libsoambase.so to $SOAM_HOME/lib64 directory

Copy 32-bit libsoambase.so to $SOAM_HOME/lib directory

 

5.3          After installation 

1.   Verify the installation

N/A

2.    Enable app.

Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> soamcontrol app enable appname

 

5.4          Uninstallation 

1.    Disable app.

Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> soamcontrol app disable all

2.     Restore the backup file.

Log on to each host and restore the backup file for the following file:

> $SOAM_HOME/5.2/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib64/libsoambase.so

> $SOAM_HOME/5.2/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib/libsoambase.so

 

For Symphony Client release:

> $SOAM_HOME/lib64/libsoambase.so

> $SOAM_HOME/lib/libsoambase.so

 

3.    Enable app.

Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> soamcontrol app enable appname
