Abstract
'SIM_CDO_LOCK_ERROR' occurred and compute
host was blocked when the common data optimization feature was enabled
Description
Because of lock leakage on common data, 'SIM_CDO_LOCK_ERROR'
occurred and compute host was blocked when the common data optimization feature
was enabled.
This interim fix applies only to the
following platform:
Linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64

5.1 Before
installation
1. Stop
the application.
Log on to the master host as the
cluster administrator and run:
> soamcontrol app disable appname
> egosh service stop all
> egosh ego shutdown all
2. Back up
the affected directory.
Log on to the compute host, and back
up the following directory that will be replaced by this fix:
$SOAM_SERVERDIR/sim
5.2
Installation steps
1. Apply
the fix.
Log on to the compute host, and
replace the old files with the downloaded one in the following directory:
$SOAM_SERVERDIR/sim
5.3 After
installation
1. Verify the installation.
Run:
> sim -V
The following is an example output,
showing that the fix was successfully installed:
> IBM Platform Symphony
> Copyright International
Business Machines Corp, 1992-2015.
> US Government Users Restricted Rights
- Use, duplication or disclosure restricted by GSA ADP Schedule Contract with

2. Start
the application.
Log on to the master host as the
cluster administrator and run:
> egosh ego start all
> soamcontrol app enable appname
5.4 Uninstallation
1. Stop
the application.
Log on to the master host as the
cluster administrator and run:
> soamcontrol app disable appname
> egosh service stop all
> egosh ego shutdown all
2. Restore the backup
file.
Log on to the compute host and
restore the backed up file from the following directory:
> $SOAM_SERVERDIR/sim
3. Start the application.
Log on to the master host as the
cluster administrator and run:
> egosh ego start all
> soamcontrol app enable appname
