APAR P100890: Fix to allow the LSF 9.1.3 installer to install Session Scheduler 9.1.2.
Description
Readme documentation for IBM Platform LSF 9.1.3 Fix 248604 including installation-related instructions, prerequisites and co-requisites, and list of fixes.
This fix addresses the following issue:
The LSF 9.1.3 installer failed to install the Session Scheduler 9.1.2 distribution package.
After this fix, if there is more than one suitable version of the Session Scheduler distribution package, the LSF installer chooses the latest version to install.

5. Installation and configuration
5.1 Before installation
(LSF_TOP=Full path to the top-level installation directory of LSF.)
1) Log on to the LSF master host as root
2) Set your environment:
- For csh or tcsh: % source LSF_TOP/conf/cshrc.lsf
- For sh, ksh, or bash: $ . LSF_TOP/conf/profile.lsf
5.2 Installation steps
1) Go to the lsf install directory where the binary file lsfinstall is located
2) Change to the instlib subdirectory: cd instlib
3) Back up the
files that are replaced in this Fix Pack(
lsfconfigfuncs.sh,lsfprechkfuncs.sh,lsfunpackfuncs.sh,SSP2OS.table).
For example:
cp lsfunpackfuncs.sh lsfunpackfuncs.sh.bak
4) Copy
the new files from the extracted Fix Pack, overwriting the original files, and
ensure that the permissions are the same as the original files.
For example,
cp lsfunpackfuncs.sh
lsfunpackfuncs.sh.bak
5.3 After installation
None
5.4 Uninstallation
To roll back a patch:
1) Go to the lsf install directory where the binary file lsfinstall is located
2) Change to the instlib subdirectory: cd instlib
3) Change the backed
up original files(lsfprechkfuncs.bak,
lsfconfigfuncs.sh.bak, lsfunpackfuncs.sh.bak,
SSP2OS.table.bak) back to the original file name.
For example,
cp lsfunpackfuncs.sh.bak
lsfunpackfuncs.sh
