Error Abstract

Inadvertent deletion of virtual machines may occur when performing an upgrade
to PowerVC 1.2.2 from any PowerVC version prior to PowerVC 1.2.2.

This is PowerVC APAR IT06078

Error Description

This issue may result in loss of data associated with the virtual machines
inadvertently deleted during the upgrade to PowerVC 1.2.2. Affected virtual
machines include any virtual machine that has been unmanaged at least once
while under control of the prior PowerVC version; regardless of it current
managed/unmanaged state at the time of the upgrade to PowerVC 1.2.2.

This issue will not affect new installations of PowerVC 1.2.2.

Local Fix

Obtain circumvention script and run on your PowerVC prior to upgrading to PowerVC 1.2.2
