Abstract

If SSM not started, the Session Director (SD) crashes when killing tasks.

Description

If SSM not started, killing task operation will make SD crash.

This fix patch applies only to the Linux 64-bit platform.

4. Installation and configuration

4.1 Before installation

1. Stop the cluster.

> source cshrc.platform

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> soamcontrol app disable all

> egosh service stop all

> egosh ego shutdown

2. Back up the file.

Log on to the management host on which the SD runs in the cluster and back up the following file that will be replaced by this fix:

> $SOAM_HOME/5.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/sd

4.2 Installation steps

Log on to the management host on which the SD runs in the cluster and replace the old file with the downloaded one in the following directory:

> $SOAM_HOME/5.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/sd

4.3 After installation

1. Start the cluster.

> egosh ego start

> soamcontrol app enable <appname>

4.4 Uninstallation

1. Stop the cluster.

> source cshrc.platform

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> soamcontrol app disable all

> egosh service stop all

> egosh ego shutdown

2. Restore the backup file.

Log on to the management host on which the SD runs in the cluster and restore the backup file for the following file:

> $SOAM_HOME/5.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/sd

3. Start the cluster.

> egosh ego start

> soamcontrol app enable appname
