Abstract

There is memory leak in the Platform Symphony Virtual Server Harvesting feature.

Description

If the Virtual Server Harvesting feature is enabled, some objects in the IS service will not be released, the memory usage of the IS service will keep increasing.

After applying this fix, no memory leak occurs.

4.  Installation and configuration

4.1         Before installation

1.  Stop the IS service. Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> egosh service stop IS

2. Back up the following files on all management hosts:

$EGO_TOP/is/6.1.1/lib/vcenter.jar

4.2        Installation steps

Copy the vcenter.jar file to the following directory on all the management hosts:

> cp vcenter.jar $EGO_TOP/is/6.1.1/lib/

4.3 After installation

Start the IS service. Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> egosh service start IS

4.4          Uninstalling

 1.   Stop the IS service. Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> egosh service stop IS

2.    Restore the following file on all management hosts with the backed-up file:

> $EGO_TOP/is/6.1.1/lib/vcenter.jar

3.   Start the IS service. Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> egosh service start IS
