4. Installation and configuration

4.1 Before installation

1. Log into the Platform Cluster Manager Standard Edition management node as root.

2. Source the environment for the previous Platform Cluster Manager Standard Edition installation.

# source /opt/pcm/bin/pcmenv.sh

3. Shut down the Web Portal.

# pmcadmin stop

4.2 Installation steps

1. Extract the fix tar archive on the management node.

# tar -xvzf pcmse_4.1.1_236832_fix.tar.gz

2. Install the fix from the extracted directory pcmse_4.1.1_236832_fix.

# ./patchinstall.sh apply

Note:  The original files are backed up in the extracted directory after the fix is installed. Do not remove this directory. If removed, the fix cannot be uninstalled.

4.3 After installation

1. Start the Web Portal.

# pmcadmin start

4.4 Uninstallation

1. Log into the Platform Cluster Manager Standard Edition management server as root

2. Source the environment for the previous Platform Cluster Manager Standard Edition installation.

# source /opt/pcm/bin/pcmenv.sh

3. Shut down the Web Portal.

# pmcadmin stop

4. Uninstall the fix from the original extracted directory pcmse_4.1.1_236832_fix.

# ./patchinstall.sh rollback

5. Start the Web Portal.

# pmcadmin start
