IBM Platform Symphony 6.1 Interim Fix 234047 Readme File
Abstract
Resolved 3 issues in this interim fix. First issue is when Symphony impersonates a submission user, it sets its UID and primary user group but does not set supplementary user groups to the process. Second issue is Symphony consumes 100% of CPU and the GUI hangs. Third issue is unable to do Hive query.
Description
Run Hive query in GPFS for the user who does not own the table but has group read permission for this user. The user has the group as one of the groups (but not the primary group).
When the contents of a single field of task history are large
(that is, preference and data location) and the user runs the "View Task
by Order" command, a dead loop occurs and Symphony consumes 100% of CPU.
Unable to do hive query after apply interim fix #230122.
This fix addresses the following issues:
Set supplementary user groups to the process when Symphony
impersonates a submission user.
Symphony does not respond and the GUI hangs when Symphony consumes
100% of CPU.
Unable to do Hive query.
This fix patch applies only to the following platform:
Linux 64-bit
