Abstract

A warning message appears when the user changes the administrator password on the Logon page, but a warning message does not appear when the user changes the administrator password on the Settings > Users > Accounts page.

 

Description

When the user accesses PMC and changes the administrator password on the Logon page, a warning message appears.

When the user logs in as administrator, navigates to the Settings > Users > Accounts page and changes the administrator password, no warning message appears.

This fix addresses the following issue:

There is no warning message on the Settings > Users > Accounts page when the user changes the administrator password.

4.   Installation and configuration

4.1        Before installation 

1.     Stop the running service.

Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop WEBGUI

4.2        Installation steps 

Back up corresponding files in the patch.

$EGO_TOP/gui/ego/1.2.8/platform/user/getUserProperty.jsp

$EGO_TOP/gui/ego/1.2.8/platform/WEB-INF/classes/org/apache/jsp/user/getUserProperty_jsp$getUserProperty_jspHelper.class

$EGO_TOP/gui/ego/1.2.8/platform/WEB-INF/classes/org/apache/jsp/user/getUserProperty_jsp.class

Patch to the management hosts.

extract patch under $EGO_TOP on the management hosts

> $ tar -zxvf sym6.1.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_FP_231688.tar.gz

 

4.3          After installation 

1.     Clean up the GUI work directory and the browser cache.

To clean up the GUI work directory, delete all subdirectories and files in this directory.

> $ rm -fr $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

2.     Start the service.

Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service start WEBGUI 

4.4          Uninstallation 

1.      Stop the running service.

Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop WEBGUI

2.       Uninstall.

         Restore the corresponding files in the patch.

$EGO_TOP/gui/ego/1.2.8/platform/user/getUserProperty.jsp

$EGO_TOP/gui/ego/1.2.8/platform/WEB-INF/classes/org/apache/jsp/user/getUserProperty_jsp$getUserProperty_jspHelper.class

$EGO_TOP/gui/ego/1.2.8/platform/WEB-INF/classes/org/apache/jsp/user/getUserProperty_jsp.class

3.       Clean up the GUI work directory and the browser cache.
