Abstract

 

The secegocc file that is left over leads to a Kerberos plug-in authentication failure.

 

Description

Ÿ         The  secegocc file, which is default security plug-in that is left over, will lead to a Kerberos plug-in authentication failure.

Ÿ         The sample of pig job doesn't run in Kerberos cluster

This fix patch applies only to the following platform:

·      Linux x86-64 bit

5.      Installation and configuration

 

5.1   Before installation

 

       1. Stop the cluster

      

       Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

       > source $EGO_TOP/cshrc.platform

            > soamcontrol app disable all

       > egosh service stop all

       > sudo egosh ego shutdown all

 

 

       2. Back up file

 

       Back up the following file on all hosts if you want to be able to roll back the change:

       > $EGO_TOP/1.2.8/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib/sec_ego_kerberos.so

 

       Back up the following file on management hosts if you want to be able to roll back the change:

       > $EGO_TOP/gui/1.2.8/etc/pmcstart.sh

 

       Back up the following file on management hosts if you want to be able to roll back the change:

       > $PMR_HOME/6.1.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib/hadoop-1.1.1/pmr-hadoop-mapred-1.1.1.jar

     

 

5.2     Installation steps

      

       1. Apply the fix patch

      

       Copy sec_ego_kerberos.so file to the following directory on all hosts:

       > $EGO_TOP/1.2.8/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib/sec_ego_kerberos.so

 

       Copy pmcstart.sh  to the following directory on management hosts :

       > $EGO_TOP/gui/1.2.8/etc/pmcstart.sh

 

       Copy pmcstart.sh  to the following directory on management hosts :

       > $PMR_HOME/6.1.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib/hadoop-1.1.1/pmr-hadoop-mapred-1.1.1.jar

 

5.3     After installation

      

       1. Start the upgraded cluster

       Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

        > source $EGO_TOP/cshrc.platform

        > sudo egosh ego start all

        > soamcontrol app enable <app_name>

 

5.4     Uninstalling

 

       1. Stop the cluster

      

       Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

       > source $EGO_TOP/cshrc.platform

       > soamcontrol app disable all

       > egosh service stop all

       > sudo egosh ego shutdown all

 

       2. Restore the backup file

 

       Restore the following file on all hosts with the backed-up file:

       > $EGO_TOP/1.2.8/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib/sec_ego_kerberos.so

 

       Restore the following file on all management hosts with the backed-up file :

       > $EGO_TOP/gui/1.2.8/etc/pmcstart.sh

 

       Restore the following file on all management hosts with the backed-up file :

       > $PMR_HOME/6.1.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib/hadoop-1.1.1/pmr-hadoop-mapred-1.1.1.jar
