4.   Installation and configuration

4.1         Before installation

1.  Stop the cluster

     Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

          >soamcontrol app disable all

          >egosh service stop all

          >egosh ego shutdown all

2.  Need to backup file ssm

     Log on to every management host, back up the following binary that will be replaced with new binary:

          $EGO_TOP/soam/5.0/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/ssm

4.2         Installation steps

Replace ssm with new ssm.

4.3         After installation

1.  Verify the installation

    Run the ssm -V command on management host, you should see the following output:

Copyright (C) 2001-2009 Platform Computing Corporation.

2.  Start the cluster

    Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

          >egosh ego start all

          >soamcontrol app enable <appName>

4.4         Uninstalling

1.  Stop the cluster

     Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

          >soamcontrol app disable all

          >egosh service stop all

          >egosh ego shutdown all

2.  Uninstall

    Restore ssm with the backup ssm

          $EGO_TOP/soam/5.0/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/ssm

3.  Start the cluster

    Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and run:

          >egosh ego start all

          >soamcontrol app enable <appName>

5.   List of fixes

SUP_BY_SYM# 228061: SI remains and slots occupied although session has terminated.
