IBM Platform Application Center Fix Pack 228005 Readme File

Description

This Fix Pack resolves the following issues:

227294: When you submit jobs with -cwd option to set execution CWD and jobs are done, the job directory paths are wrong in job and job data detail page.

227401: JSON errors shown when users try to access the submission forms after copy saved forms into fresh installed cluster. Caused by users doesn't exist in Application Center Database.
227934: Browser keeps showing security warning for file upload applet. Caused by known issues in JRE 7upate45 and up.

2.   Installation prerequisites

IBM Platform Application Center 9.1.1.0 Standard Edition has been installed.

 

3.   Installation and configuration

3.1          Before installation

 

The following steps assume IBM Platform Application Center is installed in /opt/pac.

Replace with your actual installation directory. 

 

Note: If user enables PAC failover, before upgrade should stop all PAC services.

 % egosh service stop mysql WEBGUI jobdt plc purger

 

 

3.2          Installation steps

 

The following steps assume IBM Platform Application Center is installed in /opt/pac.

Replace with your actual installation directory. 

 

1.      Download the Fix Pack file: pac9.1.1_standard_linux-x64.tar.Z.

2.      Untar pac9.1.1_standard_linux-x64.tar.Z.

3.      As root, log on to your IBM Platform Application Center 9.1.1 host.

4.      Set your IBM Platform Application Center environment:

a.      For csh or tcsh:

% source /opt/pac/cshrc.platform

b.      For sh, ksh, or bash:

$ . /opt/pac/profile.platform

5.      Install the Fix Pack.

rpm -Uvh --prefix ${PAC_TOP} pcc-appcenter-9.1.1-228005.x86_64.rpm


Note:
Replace ${PAC_TOP} with your actual installation directory.

6.      Restart the WEBGUI service.

If EGO is not enabled:

perfadmin stop all

perfadmin start all

pmcadmin stop

pmcadmin start

 

If EGO is enabled:

egosh service stop mysql WEBGUI jobdt plc purger

egosh service start mysql WEBGUI jobdt plc purger

 

7.      Clear browser cache

Before you access the PAC in browser, you must clear the cache of browser.

4.   Troubleshooting

File upload applet will be blocked when the Java Control Panel security slider is set to Very High level, or when the slider is at the default High level and the JRE has either expired or is below the security baseline which is 1.7.0_45 now.

               Status: Fixed. Jobs detail page and Job Data detail pages shows the correct Job Directory.

               Status: Fixed. Users can access submission forms successfully after copy saved forms into fresh         installed cluster. 

5.3          227934

Type: bug

Status: Fixed. It’s caused by known security problem in JRE7 Update45.  The fix will support all unexpired JRE versions except JRE7 Update45.
