SSH Server Key Status

Displays whether an SSH server public and private key pair has been generated and stored on this technical support appliance.

Once a key pair has been generated, click Download SSH Server Public Key to download the public key to copy to other systems that you want to discover.

SSH Server Key Management

Enables you to generate and store an SSH server public and private key pair to uniquely identify this technical support appliance. Once a key pair has been generated, you can download and copy the public key to other systems that you want to discover.

When generating a key pair you must supply a passphrase. A passphrase is similar to a password, except that it can be a phrase that contains a series of words, numbers, punctuation, white space, or strings of characters. The passphrase is used as the password for discovery credentials with the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) type.

Passphrase
Specifies the passphrase for the private key. The passphrase must be at least eight characters long and contain at least one alphabetic and one non-alphabetic character.
Confirm Passphrase
Enter the passphrase again. The two passphrases you enter are compared to confirm that they match before the passphrase is saved.

Click Generate SSH Server Public/Private Key Pair to generate the key pair.

After generating the key pair, record the passphrase for future reference.
Important: It is not possible to recover a lost passphrase. If the passphrase is lost, a new key pair must be generated and the corresponding public key copied to other systems.

SSL Server Certificate Status

Displays information about the SSL server certificate that is installed on this technical support appliance.

SSL Server Certificate Management

Enables you to create and install a self-signed SSL server certificate or to upload and install a custom SSL server certificate.

Note: The technical support appliance is automatically restarted when you install an SSL server certificate.
Certificate password
Specify the password for the custom SSL server certificate.
Confirm password
Enter the password again. The two passwords that you enter are compared to confirm that they match.
Custom certificate file
Specify the location of the file that contains the custom certificate that you want to install on the technical support appliance.

Click Generate and install a new Self-signed Certificate to install a certificate that is unique to this technical support appliance.

Click Upload and install a Custom Certificate to install the custom certificate that you specified.

If the server certificate installation completes successfully, the next time you log in to the technical support appliance, you will see the certificate along with a message prompting you to specify whether to trust the certificate.
