Work with detailed settings - Notification
The Work with detailed settings - Notification panel is used to enable sending Electronic Service Agent Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) notifications to an email address.
Notification Settings
- Send email notifications - Select to have email notifications sent
to the location you specify.
- * SMTP service name - Enter an SMTP server IP address or hostname.
- * Port - Enter the server port number on which the SMTP server listens for incoming requests. The default server port number is 25.
- Userid - Enter the mail server userid for accessing the SMTP server.
- Password - Enter the mail server password for accessing the SMTP server.
- Verify password - Re-enter the mail server password for accessing the SMTP server.
- * Addresses - Displays the list of email addresses that will receive email notifications.
- Remove - Click to remove the selected email address from the notification list.
- Email address to add - Enter the email address to add to the notification list.
- Add - Click to add the specified email address to the notification list.
- Send SNMP traps - Select to have SNMP traps sent to the location you specify.
- * Target network manager host - Enter the SNMP server.
- * Community - Enter the SNMP community.
- * Port - Enter the SNMP server port.
Panel buttons
- Send test notification - Click to test the settings you specified for sending SMTP notifications. Recieving a test notification at the specified email address indicates that the settings you specified are working.
- Remove - Click to remove the selected email address from the notification list.
- Add - Click to add the specified email address to the notification list.
- OK - Click to save the changes made to the panel and return to the previous
panel.
- Apply - Click to save the changes made to the panel and leave the panel
displayed.
- Cancel - Click to return to the previous panel without saving the changes to
the panel.
