IBM Lotus ActiveInsight Version 6.1.2.1 (fixpack 1 for 6.1.2)

This edition applies to version 6.1.2.1 of IBM Lotus ActiveInsight and to all subsequent releases and modifications until otherwise indicated in new editions.

1.0 About this Release

This document contains information about updates to IBM Lotus ActiveInsight provided by the fixpack for Version 6.1.2. This fixpack includes new fixes and updates for IBM Lotus ActiveInsight 6.1.2. The fixpack also supports IBM WebSphere Portal 6.1.5.

1.1 Fixes contained in this fixpack

The following defects are addressed by this fixpack.

• 19044  View Scorecard menu is wrong for Japanese, Korean, simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese languages.

  The problem has been fixed.

• 19085  View Scorecard menu does not work with user IDs that contain special characters such as plus, comma, underscore, and dash. In some cases the View Scorecard menu option does not appear on the People Finder menu.

  The problems have been fixed.

• 19098  Remove hardcode servlet path in the source code.

  The hardcode path has been removed.

• 19112  BPMMemberServiceImpl trace items go into SystemOut.log

  The trace has been removed from SystemOut.log.

2.0 Fixpack installation

2.1 Software requirements

Refer to Lotus ActiveInsight Software requirements.

2.2 Bakup Files

1. Make a back up copy of the following files located in {PortalServer_Root}/installableApps/.
   • scorecard.war
   • navigator.war
   • alerts.war
   • wbsemaphierarchy.war
   • bpmadmin.war
2. Make a back up copy of the following file located in {PortalServer_Root}/shared/app/.
   • wems.wbpm.base.jar
3. Make a back up copy of all files located in the following directory: {PortalServer_Root}/ui/wp.tagging.liveobject/semTagEar/Live_Object_Framework.ear/liveobjects.war/WEB-INF/classes/nls/
4. Make a back up copy of the following file located in {wp_profile_Root}/installableApps/.
   • wems.wbpm.servlets.ear

2.3 Fixpack installation instructions

To apply this fixpack to an installed copy of IBM Lotus ActiveInsight 6.1.2:

1. Start IBM WebSphere Portal Server. Note the path where IBM Lotus ActiveInsight is installed, and supply this information during the fixpack installation.

2. Extract the contents of the fixpack to a convenient location on the machine where IBM Lotus ActiveInsight is installed.

3. Copy viewScorecard_ja.properties, viewScorecard_ko.properties, viewScorecard_zh.properties and viewScorecard_zh_TW.properties to {PortalServer_ROOT}/ui/wp.tagging.liveobject/semTagEar/Live_Object_Framework.ear/liveobjects.war/WEB-INF/classes/nls.

4. Copy wems.wbpm.base.jar to {PortalServer_ROOT}/shared/app.

5. Log on to WebSphere Portal as portal administrator.

   • Click the Administration tab.
   • Click Web Modules.
   • Find alerts.war, and then click Update Web Module.
   • Click Browse and then select the alerts.war in the extracted location.
   • Click Next, and then click Finish. The alerts portlet is updated.

6. Repeat step 5 for bpmadmin.war, navigator.war, scorecard.war and wbsemaphierarchy.war.

7. Log on to WebSphere Application Administrative Console.

   • Expand Applications, click Enterprise Applications.
   • Find wbseservlets from the list, click the checkbox next to the application name to select it. Click Update.
   • Click Browse, and then select wems.wbpm.servlets.ear in the extracted location.
   • Leave the default options in the next two screens by clicking Next, then click Finish.
   • Click Save link to save the changes.

8. Restart WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal Server.

9. Copy WBSE.fixpack to {ActiveInsight_ROOT}/version.

2.4 Verify fixpack installation

The fixpack is properly installed if the file WBSE.fixpack exists in the directory {ActiveInsight_ROOT}/version.

3.0 Fixpack removal

To remove this fixpack from an IBM Lotus ActiveInsight 6.1.2 install, follow the same steps in section 2.3 with the backup copies performed in section 2.2. Then delete WBSE.fixpack from {ActiveInsight_ROOT}/version.
