About this interim fix

This document provides information about the IBM® FileNet® Image Services (IS) 4.1.2.5-IS-IF360113 interim fix.

Installation, migration, upgrade, and configuration

Support documentation

Before installing this interim fix, verify you have a copy of the latest IBM FileNet Image Services documentation. The Image Services documentation packages contain additional information that you might need to perform the procedures mentioned in this readme, such as stopping services and applications.

Search is enabled in the help system only if you have installed it as a web site on a web server that supports Java™ applications.

Requirements

The following component must be installed before installing this interim fix:

Install this interim fix

In dual-server and multi-server configurations, install the interim fix on the root server first, and then on the other servers.

  1. Download and extract the 4.1.2.5-IS-IF360113 interim fix for your operating system.

  2. Stop all instances of Image Services.

    UNIX On all UNIX servers:

    Shut down Image Services by running:

    initfnsw -y stop
    killfnsw -DAy

    Windows This tool is not available on the Windows platform

  3. Install the fix. The module contained in this interim fix is:

    /fnsw/bin/HAnetcheck

  4. Save a copy of the existing module contained in the interim fix.

  5. Copy the module contained in the interim fix to its proper location.

  6. Run the following command to set the appropriate file permissions:

    UNIX fn_setup -d /

Note If the fn_perm command is run in verbose mode (-v option), warning messages may be displayed that directories do not exists. These messages can be ignored.

Uninstall this interim fix

After shutting down Image Services software, copy the original module previously saved to its proper location. For support, see "Contact customer support".

ISTK documentation is not available on the IBM Web site. ISTK documentation is distributed with the ISTK software after ISTK is purchased.

To access documentation for IBM FileNet Image Services products:

  1. Navigate to the Information Management support page (www.ibm.com/software/data/support).
  2. Select the appropriate IBM FileNet product from the "Select a category" list.
  3. From the Product Support page, click Documentation and then click Product Documentation.
  4. From the Product Documentation page, click the icon in the appropriate release column to access the document you need.

To locate FileNet ECM products not listed, use the standard IBM navigational aids available on the IBM Web site (www.ibm.com).

Fix packs

To access fix packs for IBM FileNet products:

  1. Navigate to Fix Central (www.ibm.com/software/fixcentral/).
  2. Select the Product Group, Product, Installed Version, and Platform, and click Continue.
  3. On the Identify Fixes page, fill in the required information in the Fix type definitions and click Continue.
  4. From the Select fixes and download method page, select the fix you want to download and the Download method and click Continue.
  5. Click Download now.
