Terminology

x86 - This term is used to reference the legacy HMC that runs on x86/Intel/AMD hardware for both the 7042 Machine Type appliances and the Virtual HMC that can run on the Intel hypervisors (KVM, VMWare, Xen).

ppc64 or ppc64le - describes the Linux code that is compiled to run on Power-based servers or LPARS (Logical Partitions)

PTF MH01820 - for 7042 Machine Types or vHMC for x86 hypervisors (5765-HMW)

This package represents a fix that can be applied on your HMC Version 9 Release 1.9xx image starting from HMC 9.1.910.0 up to and including HMC 9.1.930.0. You can also reference this package by PTF MH01820 and APAR MB04207. This special fix image can be installed on top of HMC Version 9 Release 1 910.0 (PTF MH01733) with or without any additional PTFs or service packs.

PTF MH01821 - for 7063 Machine Types or vHMC for PowerVM (5765-HMB)

This package represents a fix that can be applied on your HMC Version 9 Release 1.9xx image starting from HMC 9.1.910.0 up to and including HMC 9.1.930.0. You can also reference this package by PTF MH01821 and APAR MB04208. This special fix image can be installed on top of HMC Version 9 Release 1 910.0 (PTF MH01735) with or without any additional PTFs or service packs.

General fix

This PTF includes a fix to enable HMC to use TLS 1.2 communication protocol with IBM cloud storage. This is only a mandatory fix if you are using IBM Cloud Management Console for Power System (CMC) service. The PTF must be applied on every Power HMC where HMC cloud connector is enabled and data is pushed to CMC.
To check if cloud connector is currently configured and active use the command: lssvc -s cloudconn.

Note: This PTF needs to be re-installed after each additional service pack or PTF install of V9R1M930 or earlier.
