This package represents a service pack image that can be used to update your HMC from HMC V7R7.9.0 to HMC V7R7.9.0 Service Pack 3.  You can also reference this package by PTF MH01546 and APAR MB03934.  This image can be installed on top of HMC Version 7 Release 7.9.0 Recovery installation (MH01405) with or without additional PTFs installed.

Note 1: Service packs are cumulative and as such will include all the fixes for the PTFs released up to and including the last service pack(s) for this HMC version.  Please read the individual Readme files for each PTF to see the list of fixes.

This package provides the following fixes:

• Fixed an issue with mksysplan or hardware discovery power on where the IOR Collection LPAR did not get deleted.
  
• Fixed a rare problem with the target system going into Recovery state after a failed migration operation due to a duplicateUUID issue with the partitions.
  
• Fixed an issue with importing to the VIOS Image Repository on the HMC failing with no error message to the user.
  
• Fixed an issue with SSL sSelf-Signed chatlet certificate for 9960 (vterm) port, even though customer has imported a CA signed certificate.
  
• Fixed an issue where the Backup LDAP server is not used when Primary LDAP server is unreachable.
  
• Fixed an issue with the lssyscfg -r lpar --osrefresh to update the OS version on the GUI partition panel.
  
• Fixed an issue with IBM I disk drives missing in the created system plan.
  
• Fixed an issue on the local HMC console when using a CA signed certificate; after login showing “Secure Connection Failed” and “invalid security certificate”
  
• Fixed a permission denied issue when running rmsysplan or deploysysplan for imported sysplans using the cpsysplan command.
  
• Fixed an issue that caused duplicate MAC addresses after the system went to Recovery and a Recover Partition Data -> Restore task was executed.
  
• Fixed an issue with enabling service processor failure that resulted in error message HSCS0301 “Enabling or disabling service processor redundancy is only permitted when both Primary and Secondary Service Processors are at standby with Service Processor in Position A as Primary.”
  
• Fixed cause to prevent call home of error SRC E2FF1801.
  
• Fixed call home via discovered call home servers to use ECC instead of URSF.
  
• Fixed an issue to prevent sync_curr_profile from getting disabled after LPM even if it is enabled on source.
  
• Fixed an exception that occurred during the repair procedure for FSP on POWER8 systems .
  
• Fixed a problem where lslparutil may not return all data for the date range specified.
  
• Improved FSP lock handling for conflicts in dual HMC environments which may cause a partition migration operation to fail.
  
• Fixed an internal code failure and error code E302F9DB when attempting to View I/O levels after selecting multiple servers at the same time.
  
• Fixed an issue with sysplan creation failing with error setVirtualFCs , Exception Occurred - Message: null Cause: null.
  
• Fixed an issue where displaying server utilization snapshot data incorrectly included hourly data.
  
• Fixed an issue where a serviceable event customer notification is not sent when the callhome fails.
  
• Fixed an issue where call home of data succeeds but a PMH record is not created.
  
• Fixed an issue to prevent repeated call homes of SRCs E35A0017 and E35A0016.
  
• Fixed an issue where LDAP login fails with NoSuchAlgorithmException when using ldaps.
  
• Fixed an issue where addg multiple vlan ids as a comma-separated list  fails with error "The Additional Vlan id is not in the valid range".
  
• Fixed an issue where attempting to remove a firewall service which has more than one port configured  fails with error “Firewall rule not removed; rule does not exist.”
  
• Fixed an issue where the extended error data (EDD) transmission can fail sometimes when there is a credential error with the reporting SRC in the problem analysis results
  
• Fixed an issue with Repair & Verify code sync for dual FSP servers that could cause a failure of "Exception text(0):Caught the following exception verifying if FSP code
  
• levels match:  com.ibm.sfp.updates.core.PIUpdateException: getPlatformCurrIplSide returned null"
  
• Fixed a problem where the IBM.MgmtDomainRM "default" output file (/var/ct/IW/log/mc/IBM.MgmtDomainRM/default) is only checked for size and wrapping at startup. Heavy activity between restarts will cause this file to  grow without bound and may fill /var.
  
• Fixed a problem where call home fails when the serviceable event FRU part number is blank.  This issue was reported against Power Blades.
  
• Fixed an issue where user is unable to specify additional vlans on dynamic add of a virtual Ethernet adapter in the GUI.
  
• Fixed an issue where logging in to the Pegasus server with a LDAP authenticated user profile fails.
